@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu erm, von der Leyen's analogy is stupid by shifting the blame. She basically said that because parents can't/won't educate their children not to do wrong things, big tech should do it instead. And having mandatory age checks and message scanning IS NOT the way we protect children. How about we invest all these billions in education campaigns instead?

@qbe@chaos.social @ati1@mastodon.social @ondra@social.unextro.net @chatcontrol@mastodon.social if you look at the age verification app proposal from the EU, they are pretty much enforcing it in a way that you can only use the EU age verification apps if your phone passes Android integrity tests, which Google is changing in the next version to require developer verification for sideloading apps to your phone (i.e., only verified developers can create an app that can be sideloaded)

I just had this crazy idea of making a proper heatsink + air cooling mod for my GMKtec G10 mini PC.

It currently has a laptop cooling system which barely manages to keep the Ryzen 5 3500U thermals controlled.

How hard can it be to design a heatsink in a size-limited case?
