Hey fellow divers 🤿,
if you're searching for an app for deco planning or gasblending, take a look at Dive Tools! Till today I used Multi-Deco and Gasblender Toolkit. The new app looks really promising. The UI is very nice!

The app can be used as PWA on Android, iOS and Desktop.

The programmer is Radim Pelanek, based in Czech Republic. We mailed some. A very nice guy!

RE: https://social.tchncs.de/@jens_schuette/116973380217929562 This was the only dive with really stunning viz on this trip 😍! The atmosphere was mystic. The silt was at the bottom. The wreck stood out of this fog...truly impressive! In between the two parts of the wrecks lives the king of all lobsters. Unfortunately this time I couldn't find his house 😪! I hope he is not been eaten yet 🙈. #diving #scuba #scubadiving #wreckdiving #croatia@scubadivers@fedigroups.social

Some more photos from our recent trip to Krnica Dive in Krnica, Croatia. One of the highlights was diving the MS Argo, a former Isle-class trawler that sank in 1948 after striking a mine. The wreck split into two sections and now rests peacefully on the seabed, creating an incredible artificial reef. As you can see from the photos, the wreck is absolutely teeming with marine life. 🥰 #photography #underwaterphotography #scuba @tinca_tinca@bonn.social @scubadivers@fedigroups.social

What great fun it is in diving to bring up some pictures or video stuff! Undoubtedly that's a lot of work afterwards 😵.

But check out these amazing results 🤩!
Made by Joe Tidball:
"Rewarding dive on the U-218 with Marko Jung. 60 mins at 55m and 2200 images later we have a half decent model.
Thanks Dean Cullen & Mevagh Diving for the lift."

U-218 - Submarine Shipwreck - 3D model by Joe Tidball (@joe_tidball)

U-218 was a Type VIID minelaying U-boat of the Kriegsmarine, one of only six of her class built. Laid down at Germaniawerft, Kiel in March 1941 and commissioned in January 1942 under Kapitänleutnant Richard Becker, she carried the type’s distinctive five vertical mine shafts alongside her four bow and one stern torpedo tube. Over ten patrols, U-218 laid mines off Trinidad, the Firth of Clyde, and Lizard Head, the latter minefield damaging the auxiliary cruiser Empire Halberd and sinking the Et

At the momemt strange things are going on with DAN. This story is that far from reality! Also the DAN study comes with huge deficits and maybe wrong conclusions...it seems DAN left the path of true science and being a source for reliable information 🙁.

By the way: this blog is nice to follow along for technical divers.

Can a MRS save an unconscious diver?

In recent years, the Mouthpiece Retaining Strap (MRS) has attracted increasing attention in rebreather diving. International organisations such as DAN and various rebreather training organisations now recommend the use of an MRS to reduce the risk of water aspiration in an unconscious diver. To illustrate the benefits of an MRS, DAN recently published an account from a CCR diver. The message is clear: the MRS may well have saved the diver’s life. The story is undoubtedly fascinating – yet, on clo
