There could be many layers to it. Like a... like.... oh, I'm sure there's an analogy somewhere.

So much this.......
I have so many projects started that are more than a little beyond my abilities. Either
1) My hyperfocus kicks in for not just the project, but learning the skills needed to complete the project, and I spend ages learning just enough to get it done. But then don't use those skills again for months/years, so promptly forget them. Or
2) I get completely demoralised by my inability to do something I was never able to do anyway, but now I feel like a failure for it.
Could requiring an 18-character passphrase that has to be entered up to 8 times a day, depending on workflow, be a failure to "make reasonable accommodation" for a person with dyspraxia?
Asking for a frustrated me.
Oh, FFS. Not Wikipedia, too? Fuck. Can't we have anything that's just "decent"?
Damn you, Milkshake Duck, and all of your ilk!
Spent today editing and uploading a video for WheelyHappyDays — Sha shaving her head. Hair's been thinning for months due to FND, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, menopause, and stress. She decided to take control of it rather than keep watching it go.
The blog post is up with the full story. Worth a read if any of that sounds familiar.
I'm not one for gushing. But I'm quietly very proud of her.

Back in the Lichfield Radio & Echo studio on a Thursday morning. Reunited with Rockie on the Radio for the first time in nearly a month.
Tune in at https://lichfieldradio.org/ until 9am this morning.
I am once again Schrödinger's Millionaire... How long do I wait before collapsing the wavefunction and inevitably disappointing my unrealistic aspirations?
I somehow ended up with press accreditation at Bearded Theory festival last weekend. Somehow got interviews. Somehow, all of the audio is actually usable. This Tuesday, Alt-Shift's Jess and I are doing a full debrief on Lichfield Radio — Black Water County, Ferocious Dog, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican.... the lot.
I send a (usually weekly) email before shows go out. If you'd like a heads-up when things like this are happening: https://aard.at/emails

It's World Press Freedom Day. My press is free. Tonight at 9pm I'll be reporting live from my studio on the music I've bought and the stuff I want to listen to.
New streaming server this week. Live chat with no login required. Fediverse authentication if you want it. And none of the dystopian corporate hellscape of That Other Place.

I've not tried these because
a) They're not pickled onions
b) I'm banned from buying more stuff until I finish the pickled onions already in our cupboards
c) I understand they're quite hot, and my tolerance for heat has diminished greatly as I've aged.
These two Wasabis are not the same and should not be consumed in similar quantities.

Two shows tomorrow.
10am–12pm I'm covering "Love is on The Air" on @lichfieldradio. Two hours of love songs and easy listening with MrsVark. It'll be chill and occasionally soppy. We're fine with that.
Then tomorrow night at 9pm it's the usual theaardvark live Sunday set at live.theaardvark.co.uk — eclectic, loud, no idea what's coming next.
Both circled in the listings. One of those Post-its is not mine.

Does anyone other than the most extreme of CLI geeks ever remember the mystical incantations required to get things like magick or ffmpeg to work?
I have a cheat sheet right in front of me for the 1 or two things I do regularly, and I still don't understand it.
And don't get me started on the problems caused by dyspraxia and an inability to type accurately.
Ooops. Looks like I'm running really late with the promo for my #LichfieldRadio show this week.
Starting in just over 10 minutes at 3pm BST... An hour of eclectic music and (thankfully) not too much chat.
This week, it's all tunes collected from my time at the #BeardedTheory festival over the weekend.

Definitely different companies. Funky Food Co is a small local producer in South Staffs. Been around for 15 - 20 years I think.

A promo short for the #AarDHD project.
Lots of lightning outside. It keeps lighting up my bedroom because I've got the curtains open. But I can't hear any thunder even though the window is open.

Is "Fart Starters" a name or a genuine description? M'lud, as you can smell and hear, we gave a jar of fart starters to the jury, and they do indeed... start... erm... some mild flatulence.

I already know what I'm going to do if I've won anything over £1m. I'm going to be a sportsball team of some flavour and change the home game strip to Global Hypercolour.

Trying Tusky for Mastodon, an Android client. Nice, clean and simple to use. Works well with multiple accounts across different servers.
I've only been using it for a few hours but so far I can recommend it
