In the past I always looked down on that "verify installation media" option that is available on most Linux bootable media (I think). What's going to happen, I thought to myself? Never had an issue with an installation media before.

Of course, I always tested anyway, just to be sure and to calm my paranoia.

This is the first time that the test caught a corrupted USB drive and man am I glad that this feature exists.

Always test important stuff, even if it seems silly.

Nerds of Law 165 – 21 Jahre mit Seán Fobbe

Der heutige Gast ist zwar nicht mehr ganz 21 Jahre, aber damit hat der Titel eigentlich auch nichts zu tun. Es geht vielmehr darum, was man aus Diagrammen und Daten lesen kann und dass gewisse Entscheidungen einfach Zeit brauchen … aber immerhin dauert es nicht so lange, bis Seán im Podcast zu hören ist. Ach ja, und es wird etwas technisch, aber Michael lernt wieder einmal viel dazu.
