aktuelles Projekt:
I have started working on a minimal set of Apple Business API calls in my Apple MDM client libraries for Java project. Current goal is to add most info retrieval calls.
Another thing on the list is update of the Device Assignment library. Some interesting feature are available with `X-Server-Protocol-Version 10` - like Device network properties including eID. Apple have introduced an interesting retry-mechanism for the `AssignProfile` call, which I personally dislike, but it is what it is.
The last thing on the list is to start working on the new "Apps and Books Management" API. This might just have greater prio than the Apple Business API for me.
Once again I remind myself I should use my IDE more effectively. "Structural search" is a really powerful feature that helped me find all the wrongly used instances of `java.io.InputStream.toString()` in the codebase. Fortunately, there was only one.

If you use HikariCP 7.1, you may omit `setConnectionTestQuery()` from your configuration. HikariCP now uses JDBC4's `Connection.isValid()` behind the scenes to validate connections.
`What is io_uring?` - Bumped into this great write up while I was researching how to get to use io_uring in Java.
I migrated Mattermost to Postgres and installed the Mostlymatter binary to jump through the 10k message limit, but things are sadly not looking good.
First of all the upgrade was not smooth - it didn't migrate our Boards, which was unexpected. I had to pgloader them separately.
The Mostlymatter binary enables the MM "Free Edition"; it works but disables a number of features like scheduled message-send and group calls.
All in all it looks like MM is going into a full-blown entshitification.

If you are working with Java, have you already adopted Markdown documentation in your code? Any hints or feedback?
