Last year, my team shipped a Swift rewrite of Apple's TrueType hinting interpreter. The new code is strictly memory safe, relentlessly tested, and faster than the C code it replaced. @kyleve@mastodon.online I imagine you're going to have to keep comms warm, staying patiently coiled ready to strike. In 2012 I nearly did a liveaboard at Pier 39. Every tech bro and their parents wanted a berth and the waiting list was years long, but my wait shortened to 3 months after they realized I'd lived there before in the 90s.

One of my own side projects (https://github.com/numist/Switch) is also affected by this (and does capture window contents, though it doesn't record them) and I'm sympathetic to the system's problem where it knows an app has access to the screen's contents but no notion of what that information is being used for. You kinda *have* to assume the worst. Is this free colour picker app sending my bank balances to phishers as part of their mark selection? Who can say!
