2. The limit here is range, not size. For any vehicle you can calculate a range based on how far it can go if it carries nothing but fuel. Practical range will of course be a lot below that.
For ships (but not so much cars and planes), bigger is better, because water resistance grows as the square of ship width but load grows as the cube. This was Brunel's great insight that launched the transoceanic steamers.
We should expect electrification to work best in large slow ships that won't have to travel far.
For cars, bikes and planes the chances are best for slow vehicles traveling short distances, and size is less important. Stopping for a charge is of course much easier in a car 😄
