I think we found Australia's filthiest locked 'public' toilet today. In related news I will never stop missing the Jaycar in Gore Hill.

I am thirty or forty years old, and I do not need this.
The tradie has come on time with notice, deemed the works of others grossly inadequate, drilled a hole, applied some silicon, and taken some photos. I hope this is adequate warding against further stormwater coming out of the wall(s).

SEAGOON: Yes?
GRYTPYPE: He's made a fool of the police.
SEAGOON: I disagree, we were fools long before he came along.

@backupbear May your favorite cafe become hugely popular and fashionable.
May your replacement drive of the same size actually be slightly smaller than the one it replaces so the array won't accept it.
For months I had a pair of carabinas I needed to put away. You'll never guess what I now need and cannot locate.

Subsequent thought: Of course.
I have deleted 'DELETEMEIFNOTHINGFAILS' after 9 months of good behavior. Wish me luck.

On the other hand I just made my first crackling roast and it was flawless.

@internetarchive TIL Dogpile still exists, and has a browser, but no longer features a big pile of poo.
Edit: I swear they had their dog in front of a heap of poo, but I cannot see this on wayback.

@Brett_E_Carlock@mastodon.online Do you use autoconfig scripts or similar? For my purposes I'd prefer to rebuild rather than restore when things break. I keep very little data in the first systems I'm replacing.

With second gen pesticidal anticoagulants gone (good thing) our strata pest management company is putting down D3 baits. These are much safer, but seem to be regulated more stringently - The actual risk is low enough that I think DIY refills is appropriate. Does anyone know an easy path to bait station compatible D3? Ideally a block that slugs won't get into.

I love remaining on mailing lists with dodgy wankers, because the receipts are disturbing. I have no idea why this one was targeted at me: direct marketing encouraging brokers to assist their SMB clients in using SMSF as business loan collateral for buying property.
"Commercial/business real property lending is now the only new-borrowing pathway inside super, and with most major lenders having stepped back from this space, it's a genuine gap for brokers who can still place these deals."

Glad to hear it went well. I chose TrueNAS expecting something like Proxmox and until recently assumed I was the problem. But no, TrueNAS is a mess of different ideas bodged together and intermittently dropped. Although the community works well, because everyone gets hit with the same fuckups at the same time.
Hopefully one day I will swap to Proxmox.
How many batteries to you have in your fridge solely for storage?
Search is full of slop. On a default install of Debian, without a GE, that has never been turned off, how do I update the kernel?
I have tried variants of 'apt-get upgrade'.
Do I just reboot and try again? That's the closest to a coherent answer the slop provided without installing more stuff.
