I haven't told this story in a while and the pic just cycled through the slideshow. Every year for easter my very methodist grandparents would send me a bunny in some form or another. Sometimes a plushy, sometimes a book. One year, this is what they sent. Not one person was willing to tell the 70+ year-old woman she was buying the playboy bunny logo in shag carpet art for her young granddaughter.

Our house is almost 80 years old and the power flashes when the neighbor's dog farts too hard. Now the internet will stay connected even when the power hiccups. The modem, while not almost 80, does not owe anybody anything and takes like 15 minutes to restart itself. Now we can worry about that less. Also the DVR and TV will run for a few hours. The important things.

Let me try to put it a way that will still sound incredibly stupid but may make more sense to people. I've spent my life feeling inadequately feminine. I'm awkward and have no tits and weird thinning hair and a few years ago I discovered that wearing nails made me feel a whole fuckton better about myself. For the first time in my life I had something that made me feel pretty. And now I don't have that for over a month, including my birthday. I don't get to feel like myself on my birthday.

Three lego videos to edit while I get to watch the nails I can't have for an hour each.

I'm not buying anything labeled "Patriot," I'm not buying anything from a company with ratings that fucking terrible, and I am CERTAINLY not going to be buying food from someone who looks like a skeleton with unattached skin hanging off of it.
