The time traveler appears in a flash of light and levels their weapon at a tech CEO.

"No, you destroyed the world and couldn't even manage to build a sentient AI."
Future-focused fan of #SciFi and #SpeculativeFiction. Wondering where everything is going in general.

Bananas that the advice from someone that works at a lung health center is to let your kids go out in the smoke until they have a headache or trouble breathing.
Well, I hadn't considered that drone -trapping #AdversarialUmbrellas would be part of our nascent #Cyberpunk future.
"SpaceX stock climbs as shares available for trading more than double"
Ah, yes, just like I was taught on my first day of economics class: as supply goes up prices must surely go up as well.
Looks like we are heading into three days of #ClimateDystopia in #Portland from all the #WildfireSmoke.
We truly are living in the future.
I feel like if we offered people a shorter work week in exchange for using less fossil fuels, we could have solved #ClimateChange decades ago.

I appreciate how so many television and social media personalities have been using humor to help us digest the news and to publicly shame #Trump and the rest of our leaders, but on Proposed War Crime Day, give it a rest and simply state that #WarCrimes are bad and we should not do them.
The earth is a sphere, so I guess it works for these hasidic guys at the airport to be facing west, but sure it seems like their prayers are taking the long way around to Jerusalem.
I don't understand why the days of the week are so different in other languages? Do they not pray to the same Norse gods as the english-speaking world?
In all these #multiverse stories, the focus is always on "what if this regular person were rich an famous in this world?". Personally, I'm more interested in the opposite. If I get access to the multiverse, I want to go to the world where #ConanOBrien ended up as a mid-level manager at a pharmaceutical company and gives the most off-the-wall power point presentations for people who don't realize how lucky they are to see him perform in such an intimate venue.
At these prices, it would be financially irresponsible not to live on a #NarrowBoat.
Well, I officially have a new worst nightmare.
Sigh, #StarfleetAcademy was doing so well at using travel as a compelling narrative device, with lingering shots in shuttles and turbolifts as a way to inform the audience about the feelings of characters and interpersonal dynamics.
But then, as they are almost finishing the season, they fell right back into #JJAbrams-style instantaneous travel to build false drama at the expense of crafting an expansive universe where characters are limited by some fundamental rules of physics and technology.
Personally, I'd be glad if there is no #StarTrek at all than it be created under the control of #LarryEllison and his failson.
If only #copper were something that is famously salvageable.

When I watched #TronLegacy, I thought casting #GarrettHedlund as the lead was a huge mistake since the character seemed so wooden, but after seeing him chew up the scenery in #TulsaKing, it is clear that #Tron truly wasted his potential, rather than vice versa.
Well, I guess I'm not buying the #HuyFong #Sriracha sauce anymore.
American #conservatives must love using our public restrooms, knowing that the sandpaper being dispensed is hurting the buttholes of black, brown, and queer people as much as their own.
I want to break into a children's bookshop, grab every copy of "The Emperor's New Clothes", and on the last page append the line "Shut up kid, or the emperor will kill us all."
The future is somehow always weirder than you think it will be.
Well, I know how I'm spending my time on this flight.
Hard to take this new invasive spider seriously when it is dressed like Ronald McDonald.

This actually seems like fantastic news, because it means that "regular" people are not buying into the fascism, and they can only get the dregs of society on their side.

Congratulations humanity on replicating the first organic brain within a computer, where it can virtually live out an existence of disembodied confusion and distress. Can't wait until we start on animals and humans!
This dress made out of leaves is just beautiful.
