I survived! Did my 10k in 57:30. Very pleased! I’m now full of a celebratory cheeseburger and mutilple beers 🍻 #LondonPride10k #running

mastodon 4.7.3+glitchI'm Richard, a Dubliner, now Londoner. 🏳️🌈 Workplace #Psychologist 🧠 & Coach 🧭. Outside of work, a massive #scifi geek 🛸.
Love learning #languages, badly. Busy learning #Japanese and #Spanish. Can curse with ease in #Dutch. #French spontaneously reappears in my brain when required.
I'm a constant #travel fiend. Probably planning my next visit to #Japan, my favourite place on earth. I own far too many bags and spend as much time as possible lying in the sun. ☀️

🏃🏼♂️ Running with Pride - a quick (not so quick) race report:

Excitement levels appear to have gone up a notch now that it’s clear we’re about to fly on a #Pokemon plane to Fukuoka! ✈️

Sunshine, a swim-up pool bar, and an ice cold beer. Heaven is a place called Puerto Vallarta. A super change of pace after lots of running around!
Ah... Just read that Dolly Parton has died. Very sad news, but what a life! Music aside, her legacy of charity and literacy promotion will live on.
After just five hours of sleep, due to significant partying last night, I’m bravely showered and dressed and ready to head out for breakfast. There will be coffee ☕️
Fuck me. Now Tim Curry?! RIP.
Our last full day in Morelia today. I’ve planned as far as quesadillas for breakfast! 😜 Tomorrow morning, we fly to Puerto Vallarta for the final few days of the trip.
It’s been really lovely here, but I’m definitely ready for a new locale and some new sights. Including the beach and sea!!
Climbing into bed at 1:50am local time with some very sore feet but a big smile on my face. 🇲🇽🎉📸🍻

@starshaped@labyrinth.social Thanks! Yes, it's never too late. I lost my speed and cardio fitness so quickly... but it's coming back, slowly but surely. And the benefits are too many to count.
Pausing everything to soak in this glorious sunset.
Lads. The sky outside is phenomenal right now 😍
Feeling ever so slightly fragile this morning, after a very late night. But it was great fun - totally worth it.
Only thing on the agenda today is an afternoon tea we booked over near Tokyo station. Apart from that, we’ll definitely be taking it easy - it’s set to be 35C here today 🥵

I'm not sure what I'm enjoying more this morning:
- The victory of a democratically-elected opposition over a bigoted, fascist regime in #Hungary 🇭🇺
or
- Responses from butt hurt US fascists (and fascist-apologists) claiming it's like the fall of Rome. When they couldn't find Hungary on a map.
¿Por qué no los dos? 🤣
So we're back?
Somebody tell me I wasn't the only one unable to access my account on social.lol for the past eight hours...

Frank finally managed to book the flight to #Helsinki! So now I'm over-nighting in Finland's gorgeous capital and not in a rubbish Heathrow hotel.

Morning. Still in bed, enjoying coffee number two and being sucked into YouTube videos about how Japanese Gen Z peeps organise their tiny apartments in Tokyo.
It's somehow... soothing?
Also: I'm going to stop moaning about how little storage our apartment has!!

@binarydigit@social.lol @gabz@social.lol @maique@social.lol Tried it. Posted some pictures and created a collection. Notified that I’m not sharing enough “photography” and my pics aren’t being shared. WTF?
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that my pics are all from Sitges Pride. 🏳️🌈
Deleting my account tomorrow…

Holy shit the British Airways website is a pile of cack. Attempting to book a rewards flight three times in a row and it's failed. 'Technical difficulties'. 🙄 Yeah, there's a reason I'm flying #Finnair...

✏️ 2026-20: Week note - beer, bastards and bedlam. The one where I needed a break from 'the world'.
Looks like a lovely morning out there. Once I've managed to fully reanimate my body, I'll be heading out for a run 🏃🏼♂️ Need to enjoy the sunshine before the forecast rain arrives - seeing as it's a Bank Holiday weekend 😭
✏️ I just want to see straight!
Alright. That’s enough YouTube. Time for the #gym 💪🏻

@TheBreadmonkey@beige.party The roaring and screaming is also apparent on the BBC. Like they're trying to interview footballers post-match...

While waiting for British Airways to sort out their website, we've been able to book a flight from #Tokyo to #Osaka and my hotel in Osaka. Still no functionality from BA.
Le sigh...
