@ArrowbearMoore@toad.social in mine i just yanked the wifi module out and replaced it with an intel so it works mainline out the box. not sure what the 2012 used but it is probably a bcm?

@hmz I would think the same thing. I really gave snaps the college try to give them a chance and they were pretty bad for end user apps.

@clutch_lever@mastodon.social I think we all remember that fateful day when we got a hold of 4MB more and felt like we were crushing it. Don’t even get me started on the day I swapped out my 486 SX/25 for a DX2/50 😳
it's nice having #nba playoffs ota on nbc.

@georgetakei@universeodon.com i'm still trying to sort out which OTHER countries he is talking about when he says "a lot of the asian countries in that quote. 🤔
Finally the country is taking a path in the right direction.

@ArrowbearMoore@toad.social also. yeah. battery is probably cooked. it's a pain to replace the original but once you finally get the thing out and swap it for another then replacing a battery is a lot easier since they don't use the apple gorilla glue.
have we reached the point where ethanol starts actually making some sort of sense?
#politics
having grown up during the 90s era of basketball... i tried my hardest to watch the playoffs to see if it has gotten better but.... #nba is f****** garbage. it needs to wind back a ton of rules and fix itself. i guess the newer gen is too ignorant on how bad it is.

@davidmaddock@aus.social i keep trying to explain to everybody if they didn't change the rules to make scoring a bigger thing then steph curry would be the equivalent of bj armstrong in the 90s.

With the loss of Spirit Airlines… the more things change the more they remain the same… someone had to take the mantle. 😳

@parismarx@mastodon.online imo gnome works just fine out the box. if you want to tweak everything then plasma/kde is fine. on the office side of things... a properly configured nextcloud server > o365 when you have collabora office configured on it. MS' success comes from institutionalizing children in schools by giving .edu deals but the libreoffice et al side is better imo.
