I see that Ann Widdecombe has died, at 78. It's my birthday next Wednesday and I will (astonishingly) be 78. However I do hope that when I shuffle off this mortal coil, the reaction won't be that there is one bit of cultural poison gone.

I really loathed Ann Widdecombe, her awful politics, her obvious lack of empathy etc, but I was deeply shocked yesterday to learn that she was murdered. That is appalling and not what I want for anyone or this country.

Big fire yesterday evening at Industrial site on edge of Northampton from a recycling business, black smoke spread miles over villages as well as the town. Sore eyes this morning, to add to the sore throat so I guess the air is a bit suspect.
Sat on the swinging hammock in the garden last evening as dusk descended, lovely to watch each solar light light up as it turned the garden into a magical oasis.
From what I've seen of the UK local election results so far I'm furious at Labour for being so blind as they have been therefore letting in the appalling Reform Company in so many areas. I'm not too happy with those who voted for Reform either but I figure Karma will deal with that when reform does its thing locally as it surely will. #Fediverse #Mastodon #localelections
