So in the farage reform exposé by channel 4, who were the bleeped out names? When jukes is outside saying who else has donated through dodgy methods the name is bleeped out (18:34 timestamp). Anyone worked it out or leaked the info yet?

@andrewstroehlein@mastodon.social The only ethical way to do this is to immediately stick them on trial for crimes against humanity. Retroactively retract the rules that let them come so they can be arrested, charged, and later deported in handcuffs

@ptoothfish@beige.party I mean, it's not like they didn't try to ban 4chan. It just turns out an american company operating in america doesn't have to follow our joke laws. Our genocide-supporting gov keep sending unenforceable fines abroad and getting laughed at.

@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social An executive was fired for sexual harassment? Is there any info on what sexual harassment she allegedly committed, and what happened to believing victims of sexual harassment?
The articles say she wasn't the only person to raise concerns about dating chat bots, was anyone else fired?
Something about this stinks, beyond the "AI bad" and "woman can't commit sexual offences" slathered all over this comment section

@dagclo@techhub.social @toriver@mas.to @target@infosec.exchange @pluralistic@mamot.fr And a weakness of fiat currency is it can be rolled back. If a government entity (either your own gov, or America) doesn't like who you've (legally) sent money too they can block it, reverse it, or just steal it. Wikileaks was a prime example, adult games on steam, and even more recently Francesca Albanese. Most people don't consider this a bug or exploit in fiat currency.

@toriver@mas.to @target@infosec.exchange @pluralistic@mamot.fr what bugs and exploits do Bitcoin or Ethereum have? I've never heard of those blockchains being hacked or taken offline, just 3rd party exchanges being exploited.

People should talk more about how 2nd hand enterprise HDDs might have write cache disabled, causing them to slow down to ~8MBps when writing large files. Enabled it and now both drives can have equal performance!

@limebar@mastodon.social If these are related to the TV show in question they usually go in /season 00, /specials, or /extras directory. Extras are for random files, specials/season 00 can pull metadata from tvdb if labeled correctly

Add me to the "Jellyfin 12.0 upgrade went smoothly" list. Intro skipper and Jellyseerr plugins both working fine, and the performance improvement is MASSIVE when navigating libraries of any size

@stiiin@infosec.space @julsboo@mamot.fr @swelljoe@mas.to @neverpanic@chaos.social @bagder@mastodon.social I'm sure there's plenty of people on Facebook and twitter saying the same thing about decentralised social media networks. How many hacks, exploits, and outages has the bitcoin blockchain experienced over the last ~20 years compared to the average centralised network, especially considering the potential financial gains for hacking or disrupting bitcoin core network.

@grumpygamer@mastodon.gamedev.place @claudius@darmstadt.social The VR market is larger and healthier now than at any previous point in history. There's no talk of stock market bubbles, over hyped investors, or any of the usual buzzwords. New headsets are still coming out with new advancements and generational improvements. How is VR dead exactly?
