If I have a plant and I take care of it every other day or so, that could be considered touching grass, and the routine gives it permanence. Likewise, a habit of daily walks is permanent.

okiiii, im finally home again, in a more relaxed state here's my lessons learned:

a lot of the "serious business"-security people are alcoholics
slop makes things more soulless as time goes on, to a point where even the people presenting don't even notice...
sleep deprivation is real and can hurt me
stress is real and pretty bad, especially in conjunction with sleep deprivation
never trust trains
trust cab drivers even less
