2dog now has a prebuilt Blazor host! Starting with release v.4.7.2.78 you can embed your Godot game in a Blazor page, so directly hook it up to a web server.
I'm looking for some inspirations how to drive communication with the server other than by requests - maybe via JS-emitted signals?

New 2dog release v4.7.1.55 !
(ok there have been 20 small releases or so since)
The 2dog tool (dotnet tool execute 2dog) has been made interactive and much more flexible. The documentation should be more well-rounded now and also focused in its didactic structure. There's also an expanded API doc now. Breaking - test fixtures were moved to other namespaces.
Compatible with latest official #GodotEngine 4.7.1 :)

I watched it over 10 times and also read the book twice. The book had quite a bit more than the movie, also some things made more sense in context.
But yeah I'll wait till Hail Mary makes it to a streaming service or something

@UKFilmNerd@mastodon.me.uk what I don't get is why the book needs so much science information when the prerequisite - all stars infected at the same time / sol infected last and the tremendous coincidence that just after humans make it to Tau Ceti, and *intergalactic* (of all things) traveler also happens to be there, just at the same time and place...
I struggle to suspend my disbelief here. (less science and more bla bla in the vein of star trek would make it better)

@Cal i selected very positive but it's maybe just positive or slightly negative.
It depends on how good the research is and if it sounds like AI or not.
Especially irksome are preventable pronunciation errors - the only thing speaking for Gen ai here is consistency, and flawless pronunciation at an affordable price.

Which actually ("akshually" in meme speak, because apparently we're memeing here in one way or another), is easily disproven because texting with humans works differently than texting with LLMs on most, maybe all, platforms.

Yeah but for instance I think of imaginary numbers or Quaternions and something tells me the fact we need these things implies that something with the foundations of our mathematics is wrong.
So we use workarounds to express what in "reality" is probably an entirely different beast than something that turns out to be "kinda neat" as a rotation in the complex plane.
Or transcendent numbers, or undecidable problems, or iNfiNiTiEs.
Speaking of, I'm also a bit of an ultrafinitist, ngl.
