Today I Realised I forgot to post the final product of My Little Xenomorph
Wer mir folgt, weiß ja vielleicht, dass ich beim @nordcon@rollenspiel.social involviert bin. Neben der Zombiecalypse, dem Coverposing-Wettbewerb, und meinen allgemeinen Orga-Aufgaben hab ich inzwischen zusammen mit zwei anderen Leuten dazu auch Verantwortung für Awareness-Aufgaben auf dem NordCon übernommen.
Dieses Jahr hatten wir das erste Mal dann auch ein dediziertes Awareness Team vor Ort. Wir haben dafür von Besuchenden sehr tolles Feedback bekommen, aber auch bemerkt, dass da noch sehr viel Luft nach oben ist, insbesondere in Sachen Leitfäden, Routine, Personal, und dahingehend, wie das Team mit dem Rest der Orga zusammen arbeitet.
Hat da wer hilfreiche Links oder gar persönliche Expertise, insbesondere wenn es um die Bubble Rollenspiele / Fantastik / LARP / Conventions geht? Ich hab mir schon einiges Material besorgt, aber das ist entweder Unternehmenszentriert oder auf Musikfestivals zugeschnitten.
Sehr freuen würden wir uns auch über Leute, die mit uns entsprechende Workshops machen können.

I recall that document to be an excellent source for deescalation and respectful moderation/helping on large events, and would love to crib from there for a roleplaying game convention.

Auf Empfehlung von @urizen@hachyderm.io hab ich mir jetzt mal @lenafalkenhagen@literatur.social und Tom Finn ihr erstes Simyala Buch gekauft.

Wichtiger PSA: Das Buch kommt ohne Adobe Kopierschutz daher, und ließ sich ohne Probleme in mein Booklore laden. Yay. Liegt jetzt als nächstes im Bücherstapel :)

@0x5021@mastodon.xyz mein Gedanke ist, dass es ja nix bringt, wenn nur die andere Seite Meinungsforschungsinstitute belatschert, während die linke Datenschutz-Antikapitalismus-Bubble das boykottiert und dann für Umfragekonsumenten (read: Politiker) nicht sichtbar wird.

I have the odd idea of creating a dedicated "video conference thing on wheels". Basically a solid stand on coaster wheels that can be easily moved around, has a power bank there, a dedicated computer to run Teams, Zoom, etc. and a teleprompter camera/monitor setup that can easily be height-adjusted.
That way all the videoconferencing will be self-contained, and can be adjusted on the fly to be used anywhere in the office room or even the whole flat. I think I have all the necessary components, except a spare computing unit that is fit for purpose...
Any suggestions for on-the-cheap?

Bridging the Gap Between Research and Industry: Secure Data Management
The de.KCD Industry Forum brings together representatives from industry and research. Our goal is to create a forum that facilitates genuine exchange between publicly funded research and industry practice in the field of cloud application security.
Using a concrete example, we will demonstrate what successful collaboration looks like in practice. The main topics include:
• Secure data usage in data management
• Creating a secure processing environment
• Protection and secure data usage at the infrastructure level
• The secure use of AI
In addition to the program, we have intentionally left plenty of time for mutual exchange. The networking session is intended to help develop new ideas and lay the foundation for future collaborations. We invite you to become part of this dialogue.
