We've released v0.11 of vfbLib!
What began as a reverse engineering project in 2022 now has had a kind of official blessing from Yuri Yarmola of FontLab, who generously let me have a look at his original VFB code.
I am very grateful, for this has shed light on some intricacies of the format I would probably never have figured out on my own.

Daddy, what’s Monotype?
Well, son, Monotype is a one-of-a-kind platform that delivers scarce evergreen font IP, software and solutions through a scaled omnichannel monetization engine.
A variable font with weight and serif axes :)
(Isn’t it remarkable that when you just slap some serifs on a narrow monolinear font, it instantly gives off Officina vibes?)

I’ve released version 1.1 of my free coding and UI font family, Sudo.
Each style contains 1649 glyphs. Sudo supports the DIN 91379 and @koeberlin@mastodon.green Latin S & M character sets, as well as Cyrillic and Latin, totalling a massive 416 languages for 3.3 billion people. according to @rosetta@mastodon.design’s Hyperglot.

Is there a best practice around setting up a modern Python module repo with pyproject.toml, uv, linting, tox, pytest, coverage, GitHub actions ...? There are so many different approaches, I'm struggling to bring it all together. #Python #GitHub #astral_uv #tox
