I figure that, that way, if the plane crashes, he looks like the junkie/pervert whereas in reality I'm the hedonistic one.
@fesshole sorry to break it to you, but if the plane crashes the contents of your suitcase will be strewn over an even wider area than you will.
Open post Matthew Wilson @humeanbeing@mastodon.social · 6mo ago Replying to @jeawhiz@woof.group @humeanbeing @fesshole I totally did not read it that way. To me, they essentially meant stashing them in the bedside table on the husband's side of the bed. Or in the husband's home office. @jeawhiz @fesshole I think your reading is correct. For some reason, I assumed she would want that stuff with her on holiday.

Who would actually be making the deduction you allude to?

I instantly went "And that goes for you all, too" looking into an imaginary camera, like in Austin Powers. He didn't get the reference & thought I was just mad.
@fesshole Oh, behave!

I said "surely she should be in geology then?". Both just stared at me. Headteacher walking past said "Gold star for dad joke of the night". Confession is, I'm proud as punch with that.
@fesshole@mastodon.social did they stare at you because they thought the joke was poor or because they were too thick to get it?

If @humeanbeing@mastodon.social really wants to interpret Starmer as a communist, I'd say he's closest to an accelerationist: attempting to create revolutionary conditions by worsening the conditions of the proletariat. @joborg@mastodon.social @krans@mastodon.me.uk he certainly is creating revolutionary conditions. I don't think he'll be going near any lampposts for a while.
Open post Matthew Wilson @humeanbeing@mastodon.social · 8mo ago Replying to @fesshole@mastodon.social I am from a country formerly colonised by the British, one famous for tea. I have found that the best way to annoy British people is to casually drop a teabag in a mug of cold water and stick it in the microwave. I don't even like tea. I do it just for the trolling entertainment. @fesshole@mastodon.social I think you'll find the British have more important things to care about right now. Such as the communist atrocity being inflicted by the present government.

My first job was in yep, Greggs. Greg Gregg who works in Greggs. I've now moved town & changed my name. Also hate Greggs.
@fesshole Cousin Greg?

Open post Matthew Wilson @humeanbeing@mastodon.social · 8mo ago Replying to @krans@mastodon.me.uk @humeanbeing@mastodon.social I've been looking very carefully for any “communist atrocity” since Labour's general election win and I haven't seen one yet. What did I miss? @krans@mastodon.me.uk try the National Insurance hike. Going really well, isn't it?

Fess: I could, but had to discourage that bollocks. @fesshole@mastodon.social didn't happen.

She was so apologetic and insisted I take £50 to deep clean the mattress. I made her breakfast before sending her packing. See her often and she usually thanks me for keeping quiet.
@fesshole@mastodon.social this reminds me of Frank Skinner's stand-up.
