@paolo_lulli@fosstodon.org @bagder@mastodon.social the only reason i voted sqlite is it's also kindof a default thing with offline devices, so little embedded crap that would never even dream of anything internet. i'm pretty sure there are about 5 sqlite instances in my 1 meter range where i'm sitting now: an (electric) piano, a looper, a crappy projector, my watch (also libcurl!), and something else I can't think of now.
I have 8 inactive Raspberry Pis (4xRPi3, 3xRPi0, and 1 RPi2). since I moved all my stuff to my proxmox cluster at home, I have no idea what to do with them. is there any good use case for these?

to me, kindle just got usable: finally no phoning home, no wifi, the perfect Calibre companion! and hopefully there will now be good supply from people that have to replace theirs to feed the beast.

@david@muenster.im @pluralistic@mamot.fr I agree whole heartedly from the NL, and I tell you a reason: private companies are *not* more efficient than governments. anybody who thinks they are never worked at a corporation, or had their eyes closed. private companies / corporations *look* more efficient, because they have less regulatory mandated transparency... which is softspeak for "they can juke the stats easier".
so yeah, privatising critical infra / running it like a for profit thing misses the point.
