@Cykelero Note that Apple is now using the ↑ and ↓ glyphs to indicate Page Up and Page Down, using ▲ and ▼ for the arrow keys. That can be confusing when looking for existing shortcuts.

@justvanrossum Would be accepted, if there is a language expert backing it. Georg’s idea for that repo was to collaborate on a common naming/categorizing scheme since there is nothing* else for glyphs like there is for characters with Unicode. (Note it’s GlyphData.xml and not GlyphsData.xml, so not bound to any editor).
Also, it would be good to know if there is a need for unencoded glyphs that are used by shaping.

@justvanrossum If the structure is similar enough, it might make sense to merge it into https://github.com/schriftgestalt/GlyphsInfo/blob/Glyphs3/GlyphData.xml which collects a Unicode code point to glyph metadata map in XML.

@db Thanks! JPEG XL has been supported since a few years on the Mac, albeit with some limits. It often renders nicer than standard JPEG, especially for soft gradients, at a smaller file size, so it’s the main image format I use for export/archives.
