Another year of stunning growth, though not sure that 2m tall #tomatoes and their attending side shoots is the preferred presentation... #gardening
Cat just walked across the keyboard, so I might have favorited/boosted/blocked a bunch of people in the span of three seconds... more reasons for keyboard shortcuts to include at least one modifier key!
🎶 This is a WIPing song
A song in which to WIP
While all the men and women sleep
This is a WIPing song
But I won’t be WIPing long
First time composting in the backyard, and this bin (started about a year ago) turned out brilliantly. A sample after sifting.
Back on my #TileRummy investigation: does this style of lettering evoke any particular decade? Perhaps copied from a specific decorative alphabet? It’s more elaborate than expected, especially compared to those E-for-effort Jolly Jokers. We expect pre-1930 tiles to be less standardized in appearance, but there have also been artisanal sets after the period, made for personal use and cruder in appearance.

Tested so you don’t have to: workflows to produce a custom-sized PDF file from a web page in all macOS browsers, using their built-in features.
Strong concept for the cover of this novel titled “The murderer is enjoying himself”.
I finally fell for the Update Tonight dark pattern and woke up to macOS Tahoe this morning… stay vigilant!

Ooh, Sue Walker is publishing a book on Marie Neurath’s books for children, coming early next year with Bloomsbury. Looks like it’s going to be an instant classic!

Stumbled upon this listing the other day, if it’s your thing, budget permitting:

I love the type throughout this early 20th c. French booklet, but the italic in particular is really nice 😍

Doing a little infrastructure refresh for llll.ro got me wondering: are there vocabularies, or other markup conventions, for marking up digitized books as to convey #semantics not covered by HTML? (As CSS hooks for now, but possibly doing more interesting things later). Recently bumped into #EPUB Structural Semantics Vocab, but curious if there are any other initiatives in this space (describing book parts) https://www.w3.org/TR/epub-ssv-11/
I’ve just learned about the death of Taylor Kirk, founder and frontman of Timber Timbre. RIP.

Is it known which approximate year saw the debut of Fonderie Olive’s Cheltenham, Américaines Nouvelles? 1896 sounds anachronistic (Trying to place this flyer in a decade.)
Well played, Mutina. Well played.

Is there a synth patch/VST named that, or is it just a coincidence that Rone’s La Marbrerie and The Knife’s Marble House use a similar hihatish pattern?
Today in interesting times (pejoratively).

A sinister episode in my #TileRummy quest: my new collector friend let me know a few tiles were found among the belongings of Auschwitz-Birkenau victims…
