Replying to

@pixelfed -HEIC support does not work at all. -Hashtags added after uploading do not get the photo to the corresponding hashtag list. -Sharing in Android needs the app to be completely closed to work; it needs improvement. Thank you so much for asking about.

Replying to

@pixelfed I'd gladly do so but let me say I already backed the effort at Kickstarter for "the respectful Instagram replacement for the masses" only to learn from @dansup that Pixelfed aims at artistic photography. Then I find the absence of roadmaps an important issue of the project. Imho

Replying to

@techlore I completely share your view. It's a fair deal. And the Linux perk is very sweet indeed. I'm enthused about Orion browser, which makes the same treat exactly, although it's still in development.

Replying to

@zeblarson@hcommons.social @jaredwhite@indieweb.social @verge@mastodon.social You should not judge the motives you think someone else might have. Not without asking first, at least. There are many reasons for doing something that you might not have considered. Be careful not to become more intolerant and narrow-minded than those you so lightly evaluate. With all due respect.

Replying to

@koh_kun@mastodon.social @jaredwhite@indieweb.social @verge@mastodon.social In my opinion you mix a ton of categorically different things to build a faux connection between terms. See, this thread is about The Verge's article. Don't go much further

Replying to

@kagihq@mastodon.social it never occurred to me to use it like this. It can alleviate one of Kagi's main drawbacks regarding shopping. Perhaps you could create a 'default' lens to show an example to the user. I'll put this to the test. Thank you!

Replying to

@koh_kun@mastodon.social @jaredwhite@indieweb.social @verge@mastodon.social because in my opinion people should not be so overly literal. There's always the context. Now it's explained anyway

Replying to

Replying to

@zeblarson@hcommons.social @jaredwhite@indieweb.social @verge@mastodon.social this is about The Verge's piece. If someone does the very worst possible interpretation or makes an overly literal read maybe the issue lies with that reader. Does not matter the comment could be more specific. Not disrespect intended

Replying to

@kagihq@mastodon.social very nice. I'm new to Kagi and I would politely say that the previous page was not very clear to me. This one is and notes your robust ecosystem as it deserves.

Replying to

@starlabssystems@mastodon.social Scaling looks so much better. But when installing, I tried to take advantage of shiny new HW backed encryption, and got some ’root of trust' error: ‘BootGuard ACM is not active’. Is there any setting (TPM related I guess) that I should tweak to solve the issue? Thank you

Replying to

Replying to

@Techaltar As far I know, it is not anecdotal. Blending software and hardware business know-how is very difficult to achieve. Apple has done so but Google is not succesful yet oif you ask me. No matter what uninformed youtubers say about it. That's why I'd always recommend channels like yours instead.

Replying to

@anfragment@mastodon.social @Techaltar@mas.to @frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org but having HDR is very mainstream. We are not asking for fancy OLEDs or 2000 nits, just the capability. And well, I also factor the price tag

@pixelfed@mastodon.social @dansup@mastodon.social frankly frustrated with lack of support, transparency, governance model and so on. Even though the project is finantially backed over Kickstarter, no further details, help, or roadmap is to be found there.
