Remembering how @vmstan@vmst.io was able to seduce me to this instance with the promise of Star Trek emojis. 
I keep jumping into conversations of other tech writers that are job hunting after my quick turn around a couple of months ago.
Folks are desperate for a secret way to crack this market. They are desperate for a way to blame themselves in order to find the thing they are doing wrong that's stopping them from getting interviews, much less offers.
I keep saying that it comes down to luck, but nobody likes that answer. They want something they can do, that's in their control.
I wish I could offer them something. It's just not the case.

Also, discovered yesterday that our dryer has stopped heating.
It did this last year, too.
It's a 14 year old SpeedQueen I think I'm inclined to repair. It doesn't have any screens. it doesn't ask to connect to wifi. There are no software updates to manage.
I always forget that when I feel hungry during the workday, I really need to drink something first because I'm probably _actually_ thirsty and my brain/body connection can't tell the difference.
A post work restorative yoga session was evidently just what I needed. Felt so amazing!
Tomorrow is day 5, and I have a meeting with the CEO to go over the things I did in my first four days.

I managed leg day at the gym this morning. But I only managed it. It was rough. Probably has something to do with the 17k steps I logged yesterday.
I'm playing the "Will I get the Telehealth link from my doctor this time?" game this afternoon for the appointment I spent two hours waiting to get into two weeks ago, only to miss the link by six minutes because it went to text message and I was watching my email (as I'd been instructed to do).

Yesterday was 33.
So at least I sparked a little less interest today.
I love peeling a hard boiled egg and winding up with a nice yolk to eat because the shell takes the white with it. 😂

I have read the book, and I found it an excellent read. Except the last chapter. That one didn't sit well with me.
Medical office:
Stay by your email inbox. Check your spam folders. The doctor will send a link when it's time for your telehealth appointment.
Me:
Watches my email and inboxes for 30 minutes. No link. Call, confirm the doc just hasn't sent anything yet and to keep waiting.
Finally look at my phone five minutes after a *text message* came through for the appointment. (30 minutes after the appointment time.)
Doctor never joined the call after I did.

@giflian@techhub.social This one is weird because you can't get into anything until the doctor sends the link when they are ready for you. Which my doctor tends to run late, especially in the afternoons.
Every other platform I've used lets the patient sign into a waiting room so at least I know my part is done.
But not this one. I just have to wait around at my device and make sure I look at the right place at the right time and all the things that can happen between sending and receiving a message play nicely to make it work.
The doctor was 25 minutes late today.
Oooh! I remembered to give myself my dose of #skyrizi today.
Go me!

The things:
- Doc ran 25 minutes late and didn't send the invite link until 25 minutes after my appointment time.
- I was explicitly told multiple ways that the link would come by email. It came by text message.
- While I waited an hour for this appointment, I was six minutes late seeing the text message (being busy refreshing various email folders instead of watching my phone). Even though I joined the call immediately and stayed on it for 30 minutes, the doctor never showed.
As a patient, the doctor's time is incredibly valuable, but the patient's time is not valuable at all.
