Das trifft auch auf Mastodon zu. Wir könnten das sonst auch weiter spinnen und sagen dass Twitter, Bluesky, Facebook und Co gar keine sozialen Netzwerke sind, sondern nur Software, oder?

@hiker@akk.fedcast.ch Und genau diese allgemeine Formulierung wurde doch hier von Apple verwendet? Die sprechen nämlich End-User an und keine Fediverse-Ultras. Dein Beispiel hinkt: Friendica bewirbt sich als "Social Network". Facebook und Co dürften dann auch nicht "Social Network" heißen, weil da technisch kein Netzwerk hintendran ist. Das ist keine "Verrenkung" und keine "Umdeutung", sondern lediglich die Feststellung, dass ein Wort sprachlich mehrere Bedeutungen haben kann.

Und warum ist Mastodon keins aber Bsky und Facebook anscheinend schon? Ich finde man kann den Begriff „soziales Netzwerk“ schon von dem technischen Netzwerk Prinzip trennen.

Aber wenn wir schon bei Wikipedia sind, hast Du dir mal den Artikel dazu angeschaut? "Ein soziales Netzwerk ist ein Onlinedienst, der die Möglichkeit zu Informationsaustausch und Beziehungsaufbau bietet.". Ich würde behaupten, Mastodon ist so ein Dienst, auch wenn im Hintergrund ein größeres Netzwerk ist.

@jimw@mefi.social On the other hand, I think Laravel is so successful because it's run like a business. Even if that sometimes ends up in weird, hype marketing. It also seems that many successful tech people have beliefs that overlap with the ones of tech bros. This probably includes Taylor, even though he has been smart enough to keep quiet on that part.

Vom Münster (kannst auf den Turm hoch) zum Schwabentor übern Augustinerplatz zum Martinstor und dann zum Theater reicht vermutlich. Klassisches Essen sind Lange Rote auf Münsterplatz, Schäufele, Badisches Dreierlei und Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. Baden geht gut am Opfinger See. Dreisam reicht zum Abkühlen/Füße reinheben. Von der Stadtmitte kann man gut zum Rosskopf wandern. Ansonsten zum Kybfelsen.

@rebekka_m@fnordon.de Die Wiehre ist sehr schön. Ein kleiner Spaziergang um den Waldsee und Besuch im gleichnamigen Restaurant ist auch ganz nett.

@rebekka_m@fnordon.de Aktuell ist ZMF am Mundenhof. Für die großen Konzerte braucht man Tickets, aber außenrum ist auch etwas Programm. Du kannst Dir überall ein Frelo (Nextbike) ausleihen und ein bisschen von A nach B radeln. Lecker Bier gibt's im Feierling. Ich hole mir auch gerne beim Cafe August einen Cafe und setze mich ans Bächle. Makan ist auch mein Favorit bei den Restaurants. Chada Thai Nudelsuppe in der Innenstadt auch lecker.
