@mardor@ruhr.social @heiseonline@social.heise.de Es is vor allem so unendlich lazy. Die sollen einfach täglich die diffs vom World file runter laden und selbst hosten, statt die public API voll zu spammen.
Einfach radikal rate-limiten.

So I guess the nerds on here are just the right people to ask: I remember a story of someone tweeting random unassigned codes from the unicode emoji range and coming back to the post years later to see what was assigned to the codes.
Does anyone have a link to the post, a screenshot or anything?

This is really nice!
I was always missing fork-clusters when I had to work on windows. mori finally adds memory efficient parallelism to R on windows.
And it having a nice os agnostic api with different backends adds a lot of portability.

If you are in the clinical trials field and want the big guns to have regulatory grade documentation: CDISC
For smaller projects like papers with observational studies, the usual literate programming tools like R markdown, Sweave, ... worked very well for me. (Not jupyter workbooks though, it's too easy to not run the cells in the correct order, save state between running them, ... on accident)

I streamed Video in 720p on an Asus eee-pc without issues. Things like etherpad worked, no problem.
No idea whether google docs or stuff like that would have worked.

Just out of curiosity, do you also consider jobs in regulatory agencies?
(No idea where you are looking geographically, I guess FDA is not the most attractive employer currently)
In industry I heard quite pessimistic things about the job market in the short term but I guess this will pass.
Regulators of course don't pay as well as industry, but I really enjoy the work
