For 13 years, apart from a few minor issues, there were no complaints. Then a new mayor came along, along with Microsoft and a big black briefcase, promising to move the company’s German headquarters to Munich if the city switched to Windows. Well, what can I say? Munich is once again in the hands of the rip-off artists from Redmond.

In den letzten Tagen wurde viel über die „neue“ WhatsApp-Funktion Drittanbieter Chat berichtet. Doch was mir dabei fehlte, waren immer die Messenger, die das Unterstützen.

Endlich, das neue Design ist online. Nun kann man die Beiträge auch auf dem Smartphone angenehmer lesen.

Die Beiträge sind jetzt in Kategorien aufgeteilt, was dazu führt, dass der eine oder andere Beitrag auch in mehreren Kategorien zu finden sein kann.

Es gibt auch wieder ein Archiv, eine Suchfunktion und wie gewohnt keine Cookies, kein Tracking.

Vielleicht auch in ein paar Tagen als Onion-Service … Mal schauen.

@Gargron@mastodon.social I think people have forgotten that every social network had to start somewhere. How many were there before FB? In Germany, for example, we had StudiVZ, something called VZ. How many of those are still around? None. Here in Germany, people complain that the EU regulates too much. In the US, everything would be much freer. Yes, for US Big Tech. They are allowed to do whatever they want first, and then maybe questions are asked afterward about whether everything was done correctly

@bsi@social.bund.de Das größere Problem, sind die Menschen, die Deepfakes nicht ernst nehmen. Man hat es bspw. auf Facebook gesehen, als Collien Fernades an die Öffentlichkeit ging. Das harmloseseste was man da lesen konnte war: Die macht das nur wegen Aufmerksamkeit, die kann man nicht ernst nehmen. Unter den Denunzianten waren auch viele Frauen. Das macht es noch schlimmer.
