Huge fan of April, Apink, Weekly, Sunmi, Rockit Girl, GFriend, ITZY, IZ*ONE, Twice and many other wonderful South Korean pop music groups. I mostly post about k-pop and the biosphere collapse we're now in the late stage of. Biosphere collapse means that you and every other living thing on earth will die. Most people will not notice that predicament until there's no more food and no more clean water to be bought anywhere at any price.

@antimundo@mastodon.gamedev.place There's also this: https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/commit/ecb0131d33e0f008a66b88177dcf80cb93aaef01 That's for something called "Kiro" so you can "Move beyond AI coding to agentic engineering". Laravel is apparently "An Agent Ready Framework". It seems this dansup person behind Pixelfed has gone full "AI", and it's not just commits with documentation for "AI agents" that make it very clear. If you just look at the sheer volume of commits from him the last few months you can tell that he's either taking large amounts of amphetamine & coding like crazy day and night or using some kind of automated system to generate code. #pixelfed #ai #vibecode

@drahardja@sfba.social Dave, you're on to something but you've yet to realize the gravity of our situation. There is no fixing runaway global warming. It's too late. We're stuck with today's CO2 concentrations. We're stuck with today's radiative forcing. That means we're stuck with a temperature increase of 4C per century. We _can_ avoid accelerating runaway global warming. We _can_ avoid making our current predicament worse, but there is no "fix". I realize the immensity of this information is far beyond what most people can come face to face with, but this is the gravity of our predicament. Furthermore, solar, wind and other "renewable" forms of energy generation are absolutely not anywhere near long-term sustainable. Those are just talking point for people who do not realize that we can not have 8.3 billion people and keep modern industrialized society intact and expect our species and life on earth to survive for very long. Solar and wind make sense if you only look at the damage from fossil fuels and you compare them to fossil fuels. They don't if you take a whole earth approach. We have crossed a minimum of seven major planetary boundaries. We absolutely need to stop burning fossil fuels and stop accelerating runaway global warming (or "climate change"). Nothing will survive if we go further beyond the other planetary boundaries in our quest to do that. #collapse #climate #climatechange #adulteducation

@SolSoCoG@ieji.de Just in case you're wondering: I never had this problem at mastodon.cloud. That site's bankrupt and finished, which is very unfortunate and why I decided to try Ieji (which looks like a mistake).

The underlying finances are why the artificial intelligence industry and the media are spewing a continuous stream of silly stories about the apocalypse and mathematics discoveries and artificial intelligence taking over all the jobs and this that and the other. You do not attract investors by honestly saying that you have yearly doubling multi-billion dollar losses. #ai #bubble

OpenAI's Greg Brockman wrote that he was deeply motivated by the gazillions he hoped to gain by commercializing OpenAI's technology in 2017. How's that going? https://archive.ph/zaeib #ai #openai

Israel's ongoing genocide would end if Germany and the United States cut the funding and weapons shipments that make Israel's ongoing genocide possible. "Germany and the United States supply 99% of the weapons exported to Israel... They could stop this conflict overnight if they stopped the weapons killing Palestinians." - UN Special Rapporteur Prof. Ben Saul #israel #genocide #un

Our species has eradicated around 17% of the trees we used to have in the Amazon and more than half the trees we used to have globally. There will eventually be no trees left if we keep eradicating them at a much faster rate than they are reproduced by natural growth. This is just one of the many planetary boundaries we dangerously are far beyond. #environment #trees

@prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone @HerbGrower@slrpnk.net I'd love to hear a single example of _any_ political party that's promoting actually long-term sustainable policies. There are none on any side of the political spectrum.

@DrALJONES@mastodon.social The "AI" companies are losing billions and their losses are increasing exponentially. They have no path to profitability. That's why we get all of these distracting stories.

@Powerfromspace1@mstdn.social @extretemps@toot.community It's not just Africa that's gotten radically hotter, air and sea surface temperatures everywhere are through the roof. We have severely changed the earth's energy imbalance, and our species is increasing the rate our planet is now warming at by burning fossil fuels every single day. We are collectively and mostly individually grossly irresponsible animals.

@stux@mstdn.social what happens if you or I gain unauthorized access to a someone else's computer system using some tool we've created? How does the law look at it if I rip a CD or BlueRay and store it in a lossy compressed file like mp3 or mkv? It's kind of amazing that the Trump regime is applauding corporations bragging about what is and would be considered crimes if anyone else did it. It's also interesting that nobody in the media seems to be asking a single question about the legality of the crimes the "AI" companies are bragging about on a regular basis.

@MaddieM4@raphus.social @kde@floss.social I sincerely believe that the KDE team would be wise to shill muh "AI" hard for a couple months and secure funding until biosphere and societal collapse makes any kind of software irrelevant. Danish guy said muh Omarchy dot file collection is very "AI" and he collected TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS and a short time later he got EIGHT MILLION MORE. KDE could fund a lot of free software developers with 20 million dollars. LibreOffice and others could also do a lot of good with 20 million dollars. TIME IS RUNNING OUT because every single "AI" company is losing billions dollars every quarter. Please try to think about it. Think it through. They are losing billions of dollars all the time. Why wouldn't you say KDE or some other piece of software is such "AI" and collect a slice of those billions they are burning away every single day before the bubble pops and it's too late?

@CursedSilicon@social.treehouse.systems maybe he's just confused about the wintoddler version he did whatever with. wintendo 95 was released in 1995, wintoddler 98 was released in 1998. microslop used to make it easy to know when they shipped stuff and then they released windows 10 in 2015.
