@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net This is just sad. I used to MullvadVPN, and have been recommending their service to a lot of people.
I had no idea I was indirectly funding far-right party. A 5 fucking million donation.

OH GOD - turns out a Swiss label had released an Azerbaijani album consisting of the most beautiful melodies by Rehman Memmedli.
Azerbaijani Gitara volume 2 - Rahman Mammadli.
It is an album of psychedelic rock, mixed with ethno-rock that blends azerbaijani melodies with western instruments. I've been listening to it continuously for the past three days. Holy shit it is so good. Ordered an LP, will be a treasure of an item in my collection.

Hi friends! Graphics Designer is Needed.
I'm launching a Twitch channel, where me and a friend learn about music in public. I'll share the fun details when we do the first stream, but now I am looking to hire a designer for the logo.
Budget is not that much, so I'm not hiring a company to do the branding, lol. Would appreciate any recommendations or boost.
Thank you in advance <3

I spent too much time reading the thread, so my opinion on the matter:
I dont understand the personal hashtag concept. If it is personal - and one-to-one relationship to the owner account, why not follow the account directly?
And what confuses me is that hashtags are public by nature. No one owns them, and no one is prohibited from doing anything with them. If, according to Evan, tags.pub respect user's blocklist, I am questioning even a consent is required here. Because nothing (except ethical concerns) stops anyone from hijacking "your" hashtags.
To my understanding, the issue here is when people opt in to the relays, they don't know that bots like tags.pub also *reuse* this consent. So, this is not an informed consent; but again, if it is even needed for hashtags, that to me is not clear.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social i misclicked 😭.
Yes ai, but only locally, and ethically sourced data. I find LLMs useful for translation, and small utilitarian applications of it.

@neatnik@social.lol The new price is fair. For the first time I didn't want to renew at current price so I'll contribute my part when the time comes, LOL. Rare feeling indeed 😂

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net exactly. The sad part is this is so embedded in me growing up, quite frequently I find myself thinking of somehow monetizing things I enjoy doing. Like this is my default stance, and then I remember all these, and try to forget the temptation.
All that propaganda did work on me 😭

@saxnot@chaos.social @angelthorns@social.treehouse.systems it is done mostly to cover up management's incompetency. They have this "I pay for 8 hours, they need to be in front of me for 8 hours" mentality 😂.
I've been working remotely for 5 years now, the team is 15+ people, and we have been very productive since the day I joined.
@fabio YES! whenever I see an anti-EU person, usually on X shithole, it is some "tech guy" complaining why they cant abuse something, or can't get things so cheap that it would need slavery.
Replying to
@nash Yes, but it already exists! co-operatives.
Company is the people running it. When the higher levels in the company distance themselves from the people that produce the value, there remains no place for shame. And cooperatives prevent the managers from distancing themselves.

@tux0r of course. I met two people that were there just for the album.
Also, hats off to you! I couldn't resist again 😂. Got 4. Muse, Skye, jazz dispensary, and gil scott-heron. Also 3 more used records from a smaller shop.

@tux0r lol. At the shop I went to (groove zone records), they had a separate line for Taylor Swift buyers 😂

@huopa@mastodon.online exactly. Now people will realize that they can change stuff and Peter Magyar knows this. They'll have to pay more attention to the people that elected them this way.

I too - as a fellow techy person - used to respect him because of his OSS contributions. But I dug deeper after seeing that london post, and it is indeed cursed. Every piece of tech he touched feels dirty now.

@binarydigit@social.lol yess. quick review of major options:
-
Voyager is a good compromise between portability, ease of learning and full ergonomics. Also build quality and feeling is superb.
-
Kinesis 360 is not portable at all, but has curved keys, also harder to get used to. Mid to high build quality, plastic feeling.
-
Glove80, also curved, reviews say it feels cheap, questionable build quality.
-
Custom built ones, usually not curved, hustle to do, I'd honestly just get a well known one.

@jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net exactly. Platforms start by serving the users. They do whatever they can to empower their users. But when it is time to earn money, users start to work for the platform, and we end up subconsciously tweaking the invisible knobs to please the algo.
