Do not use Finnish Posti service. I order a package to be deliver to the supermarket close to me (specifically that one) and they send the parcel to a machine in the middle of a random parking lot in a neighboring hood, so I had to spend 40min to go there and back. Better to pay 3 or even 10€ more to get the actual service I contracted and not get a different service I asked. If their way of keeping the business alive is to cheap out the service they are doomed #Posti #Finland

@pekkatahkola@mas.to In Spain at least it use to be that with every building you had to do the sidewalks, pipe canalization, etc. around it, making most of the infrastructure used by pedestrian paid by those who buy a house. There are areas urbanized by cities before hand, but during building constructions a lot of sidewalks needs to be redo.

But half-way my computer froze (black screen, no keyboard response, no ssh), and I had to hard reboot. But then a few apt -f install and apt dist-upgrade make the installation finish with one reboot in the middle because nvidia proprietary drivers (might have been the cause of the freeze).

Since then everything fine beside the repositories that don't have yet versions for 26.04, and the gnome extensions that are "not compatible" (but work if you change the metadata.json of the extension to say that it is compatible)

Really loving the show Shrinking. Exposing the daily mental health issues we live in like depression, grieving, divorce, loneliness, aging, and so much more. And showing some tools to handle them.

Anti-migration biting you back. https://yle.fi/a/74-20235535?origin=rss Berry pickers in Finland have been foreigners for a long time. Government doesn't issue visas for them. Nobody picks berries. People has to buy berries from other countries and more expensive. #Migration #Finland

I'm just puzzled. Clasohlson sent me a bunch of glass containers in a box without any protection and a lot of empty space. Of course now I have a box full of small pieces of glass at home.

@Trifolium@c.im I'm sure the workers are happy that they can't work (or be abused). I believe they should be protected, paid accordingly, but that's not protecting them, it's an excuse to block them instead of ensuring they are protected while working. In any case, my point is that foreigners are needed to do work locals don't want to do. Those jobs need proper benefits and an increase in the costs, but just using any excuse to close borders like the far-right is doing in Finland, doesn't work.
