I will be in Washington DC from 1-4 October 2026 for the FCC TAC meeting.
If you're there and want to talk open source digital radio work, @OpenResearchIns projects, or regulatory reform work for amateur radio and amateur radio satellite services, please let me know.
I'll be staying near FCC HQ.
It's a long shot, but does anyone here have paper copies of the SANDPAC newsletter?
San Diego Packet Radio Association.
It's almost completely offline, but has some very important historical stuff in it. 1986 to mid-90s. Mike Brock WB6HHV, Franklin Antonio N6NKF, and Tom Lafleur KA6IQA. Paul KB5MU, Brian Kantor WB6CYT, Roy Davis WB9RKN. Marvin Munster WB6PKK, who ran the Escondido ARS node, and Steven Ruiz KC6MDV, who wrote a packet Battleship game.
Seriously good history. Anyone have these?

If you can accept this, and if you can keep the focus on the work, and if you can absorb gut punches, and if you have enough margin, then you're good.
Have you ever asked "Why isn't there an open source method of moments wire antenna analysis tool?"
Then I have a link for you.
