I'm a TTRPG nerd and fanfic writer
- Animated tea carts attack by squirting scalding hot tea at you
- The gliminal, manifestations of vital energies, kill you by giving you so much extra HP that you explode
- The yeongno, a traditional Korean monster that eats rich people, beats the crap out of you with your own money
- A mob of corn leshies, nature spirits that animate corn plants, can form into corn mazes to disorient the enemy Other Pathfinder 2e fans, feel free to add you own!
Next on the very long list of #pathfinder characters I'd like to play: A worshipper of Iomedae, goddess of justice, who believes strongly in economic justice. Someone steals bread? Cut off the hand of the king! #ttrpg
In #Starfinder2e, there's an Envoy subclass that can heal people by encouraging them. The thing is, it uses that Battle Medicine action, which, if you crit fail, does damage to the target instead of healing them. This means it's possible to try to give an ally some encouragement and accidentally kill them #ttrpg
#DawnsburyDays is a decent use of the #pathfinder2e rules, but I think it was a mistake on the devs' part to just give the player the stat blocks for every enemy; it completely removes one of the most interesting abilities from the game: Recall Knowledge. Once I ran for an Investigator who's whole shtick was finding things out about the enemy
Something that bugs me far more than it should: Every god in #pathfinder has a sacred animal, but they're completely inconsistent with how specific they are. Cayden Cailean specifies 'hounds', which is a subset of Canis Lupus. Asmodeus, meanwhile, just says 'serpent', and there are so many different species of serpent with different traits. #biology
#opensource #alternativesoftware #tech I'm considering moving my TTRPG group to stoat.chat, as an alternative to Discord. Has anyone here used it before? What has been your experience?
