I don't really know what EMF camp is all about, but it seems like its the fediverse in meat-space. Lots of interesting, eccentric people nerding out about cool, quirky things.

Found a voucher we had for go karting session. So taken my son and his friend to Avonmouth for a spin around the track.

Visiting family in Teddington . The adverts served on Youtube have change based on my location and now think I'm an old woman wanting vitamin supplements.
Our local orchard has many fruit trees in blossom so we ran a work party followed by a hanami (which I believe is a japanese term for tea ceremony to appreciate the transient beauty of blossom trees).
It was a lovely afternoon improving our community.

@TheBreadmonkey@beige.party that is understated and beautiful. Its made me realise I should display something rainbow.
Bristol city council are proposing to introduce 20mph speed limits on several roads across the city. There is a consultation to hear from local residents. Its quick and easy to complete.

@slowe @ericsfraga I also left feedback for this. Use the link at the top of the page where it says the service is in beta.
I have been product manager for many gov services and always read this feedback (there may be bigger issues being reported but we can all raise it).
I subscribe to the podcast : Alan Watts - Being in the way.
It packages Alan's talks into nicely produced episodes.
They don't release often so its always a pleasant surprise to find a new episode.

The IFS cable car in london was so busy (despite not really going anywhere useful). Really nice views though across a bright sunny London. Also had a lovely journeyed the clipper boat.

@swisslet@mas.to @TheBreadmonkey@beige.party you didnt notice as you were likely dazzled by the shining brilliance of being in the sunlit uplands.
We need some sort of flip down visor to reduce the glare.

@blog I worked on this project to create the inhouse replacement. Part of the reason for change was that the NAO raised concerns that Palantir introdued their system without much competition at the start (they offered it for free to begin with). Then the costs started to rise.
There is a published report stating all this so I'm not divulging anything confidential.

@TeaKayB I like the Wallace collection which is near to Oxford Street. Its small and eclectic.

@spiny that's better than I can do. I just take my son to places and watch him whizz about (he's getting quite good, but he has great balance and physical confidence of a 14 yo).
Your video also shows the place better than my shot of a blocked escalator. 😀
Came a very close second in the monthly quiz at the community centre. Only 1.5 points behind the leader. We only had a team of three whilst the winning team had five people. If we had an extra team member I think we would have achieved victory.

So sad to see the towerblock granted planning approval. Now down to the community to push for judicial review.

@mcliquid@en.osm.town @streetcomplete@mastodon.social thanks. I tried it when new to SC but didn't quite find the value. Will try again now I'm more used to SC so perhaps I'd appreciate it more.
I've just started reading Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Surprised I've not heard of it before. intrigued by the Shrike.

There may or may not be a cat in the house. Front door was open for a minute and I saw a cat hovering by the door. Fairly sure it came in, just can't see it anywhere.
May get woken tonight by random meowing.

@SnoopJ which countries are you looking at? The company I work at in the UK has many queer, trans, and NB people among the developers.
When people talk about a four day week, does that include schools or just office workers? If less time at school, is there evidence on the impact for learning?

We're now in a shop called Goodhood that sells stuff for trendy people. So I feel square as well as old.
Saw "The play that goes wrong". Was good fun. Suitably silly that it engaged my 14 year old son.
Then we took a Santander bike along embankment, around westminster , past the palace and through Hyde Park.

@edward@hachyderm.io I found this more fun than i expected. what did you think of the other installation at car park?
The crossover we never expected. Spongebob and Fugglers . The zany joy replaced with creepyness.

@lcamtuf@infosec.exchange should I make myself look big to scare it away, or will that just threaten it.
Please say I should just collapse on the floor and pretend to be asleep... I'd be good at that.
