Live free or die is such a strange motto for a state.
Best opinion when clothes shopping - "That just doesn't do you justice." My mother used this & it placed the blame squarely on the clothing. Walked away a little taller.
Trump Bible
This was not a good deal for Canada. We paid $6 billion to build it with US putting in $0. This was recognition that US is corrupt, does not honour past deals & like the Mafia need kickbacks. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-gordie-howe-bridge-split-good-deal-both-countries-minister-says/
#ThrowBackThursday Castel Sant'Angelo is a beautiful welcome to Rome
I've made my last batch of strawberry rhubarb jam
Detectives depicted in books from different countries are so different! #Scotland - Sloppy looking detective drinking beer & eating bacon butty. #Sweden - depressed guy who knows wines pondering meaning of life #USA Smart Alec detective has black belt in Judo, kills about 10 people with a glock (some innocent) & drinks bourbon but never eats.
There are times I think I'm living in The Fisherman and His Wife fable.
Fishers donate lobsters to local rec centre so for $25 - lobster, 3 scoops potato salad, coleslaw, roll & a gigantic piece of strawberry shortcake. #capebreton
Web changed from primarily providing info to mostly marketing. Why would we be so naïve to think #AI will be for mankind's benefit?
Got some items in a grocery store & looked around for the checkout. None - a sign said "Please bring your things across the street to pay for them." So did but are people that honest in Trieste you can have 1/2 store unmanned?
Media more appalled by bad language than threats of war crimes targeting civilians. Is this the bottom of the hole?
Sisters cottage has greatest view of Mira Bay. Time to start planning...

Successful family reunion! Possible to make 6 dozen shortbread tart shells, freeze them & later add homemade blueberry, cherry & strawberry rhubarb fillings. Looks impressive in 4 tier dish #baking
Muggia Italy - a good memory
It is too soon to talk about a #ballroom after a potential shooting event.
15 of 19 terrorists of 9/11 were Saudi Arabian. America was afraid to land more planes in the US so Canada welcomed them. For them - nuclear weapons. For Canadians - insults & 50% tariff. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-saudi-arabia-nuclear-agreement-9.7278994
Jellyfish off Trieste look like little lamps -ours look a lot creepier
Dangerous thing to ask people from Nova Scotia & Newfoundland for opinions on best place to visit. WE HAVE OPINIONS.
Fascinated in a train wreck kind of way that GOP is looking for $1 billion from taxpayers for a #ballroom. So farfetched

@peter@thepit.social I see now. I am surprised at times where the push back has come from (Teen Vogue) & the notable silence from other quarters - Hollywood.

@garrattguy@mstdn.ca Interesting but I disagree. Once financial stories start circulating with quotes from senior CPC backroom boys - hint that it's time to take a "walk in the snow".
What a horrible thing to do to someone who trusts you! https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/charley-hull-caddie-prank-backlash-9.7290887
When Fred Delorey begins complaining about too much💰 spent by CPC in last federal election, hard not to see it as a signal to PP that he needs to go. #cdnpol

@peter@thepit.social So is your argument - all people with wealth are inherently corrupt & are GOP or Liberal depending on geography?
