Today is #Colonoscopy prep day and I look forward to weighing myself tomorrow to see improvement in my resolution to lose a few pounds. I'll take all the help I can get.
Colon Cancer is #3 on the list of deadly cancers in Canada and its rate of diagnosis has been increasing in younger adults over the past decade. Everyone should take it seriously and use our Universal Healthcare for screening and early detection.

It's time to get handsy with a furry friend because it's International Hug Your Cat Day. Cats obviously are #3 behind Dogs and Beavers, but did you know that in ancient times whenever a household Cat died of natural causes, the entire household mourned the death of the Cat by shaving their eyebrows. It's true... I read it on the internet. If you don't have a Cat and are in the Vancouver area, you can hug Mittens.

People who are struggling with bills will get some relief using these rebates to pay for phones, rent, gas, utilities, food, etc. So the rebates end up in the coffers of big business who are reporting record profits. We're not attacking the problem at the source - corporate profiteering. If you want capitalism involved in social programs then windfall taxes are necessary to keep inflation in check. Or acknowledge capitalism won't save us and implement public options for all basic necessities.

Last week, one of my most frequent golf buddies ruptured his Achilles tendon playing #Pickleball. His 4-6 month recovery and physical therapy has impacted my golf season so he'll have to make that up to me. For us older athletes, he and I turn 70 in August, it's important to compete according to your age, and not imagine you're 2 decades younger. Here's a CBC report on how to be careful out there.
