#ScribesAndMakers March 20. Self-promotion day. Shame optional.
Do you have a few dollars to spare each month to help a disabled transmasc author and their rescue horses?
Would you like access to an amazing library of short stories, an almost complete (in April!) portal fantasy novel and another almost complete time travel fantasy novel?
Would you like a handwritten thank you note and maybe stickers if I get around to it and all 100% human made?
https://kitauthor.com/muse-happens
Please.
#ScribesAndMakers 6 April: Some people have creative work inspired by their dreams. Have you?
I dreamed an entire opening scene to a new novel, and while the scene was written down I haven't gone back to it, but I have used that character and the organization that was in my dream in the serial novel I'm writing and the idea has expanded.
#ScribesAndMakers Feb. 28: How did your month go?
Eh, okay? Got sick which took me out for a couple of weeks, but I finished a short story for a sub call that opens tomorrow and got some writing done, so I am going to consider that a win and move on.
#ScribesAndMakers 5. Could you do a scrapbook accompanying your current creative process?
Probably not. I need to conserve my energy/mental bandwidth/executive function/spell slots. (All of it!) But also, I don't know that I could find tangible pictures or words that describe my current process.
#ScribesAndMakers 1: How much time do you expect to have for creative work this month?
Hopefully the time I need. Which I should have if the brain doesn't go sideways and i don't get sicker.
#ScribesAndMakers 7, Would your current creative project make a good game?
I absolutely want to make a TTRPG for my Radio Arcanum world.
Starfleet Academy about broke me last night. What a powerful episode. I don't want to say too much or give away too many spoilers, but let's just say as someone with cPTSD - oof! I felt this one right in all the feels.

#WritersCoffeeClub Mar 1 What is the fundamental goal you seek to achieve with your current WIP?
Well I have multiple WIPs but the goal is the same. Write a story that other people will enjoy, that brings cozy vibes in some way, and expands the world building of my universe. Create a universe readers want to sink into and read all the stories about.
If you love veterinarian shows but hate worrying about sad endings, then the Apprentice Gorg cozy fantasy series is for you!

#WritersCoffeeClub ~ How well did this short month go for you, in terms of writing?
Whoops, probably should have put this hashtag on the other post, but it went okay. Finished a short story. Got some things done. A pre-order up. I'm calling it a win and moving onward.

#WritersCoffeeClub 6/4: Do the plots or characters in your work converge towards a single point?
More or less. Like there is one main overarching goal, but little side plots get squiggly and diverge from that. Sometimes characters aren't on board with the big goal all the way to the end.
Starting over at a new barn means leaving his past behind. Taking over the training of a new horse means finding a future. Barn family means family.

#writersCoffeeClub 5 Apr: How can the physical form of the writing become part of the storytelling?
I think in judicious use of phrasing, pacing, rhythm and meter.

The Ways Grief Impacts Writer’s Block
I did an interview last week and was asked about writer's block. Real solid, beat your head against the desk writer's block. And the answer I gave during the interview has stuck with me. I've been thinking about it ever since. You see, I don't have writer's block, at least not in the way that it's commonly spoken about. For me, the writin
