And another parkrun in the bag. This time the Kagerzoom parkrun. My 1st there. Many UK parkrunners coming over to the NL in large numbers for a weekend of parkrunning. Today there were 378 participants! 😵💫.

Today I decided to join a club ride again. The weather was lovely and sunny, with little wind and great company. The first 100km in years and it wasn't disappointing. My (cycling) fitness is still great. Another Parkrun tomorrow 😊

Try to figure out which one is the most important to you.
Last Saturday, I ran the Vuurtorentrail on the island of Ameland. As expected, it was another tough edition with lots of loose sand, dunes, beach, and wading through water and mud.
My body was basically done with it after 25km, but my ego wasn't :-). So I battled through it and eventually made it to the finish line.
It was the first time in ages that I felt like I had thoroughly earned that medal.

Dont know why on earth that should be a problem. Sppnsor mastodon.nl and the mastodon app, inform all you citizen how they can get a Mastodon account and off there you go. A solid, integer and cheap solution.

I don't know exactly what my wife is throwing into the food these days, but the workouts are going fantastic.🥳

Today: a run where the pace was as if I were possessed by the devil without being aware of it.

Today was my 100th session since December 7, 2025. In all those sessions, I have learned what meditation is all about. It has given me deep physical and mental relaxation, but also a strong focus and concentration from which I reap the benefits in my daily work and private life. On to the next 100!
I am tapering for the SallandTrail HM upcoming Saturday.
It was a nice opportunity to do some higher cadence training (>164) which is supposed to be working for injury prevention.
Has anyone ever experimented with this and what was the outcome?

Lol. this brings up the typical AI dilemma. If AI isn't 100% factual correct we feel it sucks. If AI is not 100% human like we feel it sucks too.

Thanks! 🙏 You judged it correctly. It was indeed tough through the sand and dunes. Taking it easy today, and tomorrow I'll cautiously check again how I'm doing. 😃

Misschien een idee om zoveel mensen een klacht in te laten dienen bij de overheid?

Impressive! Yeah, I guess the pitfall is to not get carried away in the current positive flow.
But a really good performance 💪

Thanks Kat 😊 . It was. I though it would be a little easier than last year when I completely died. Turned out to be wishful thinking. Although I tried to run the complete race below my lower HR threshold I still died at the end 😆 . It also could be that I am more a sprinter than I want to admin 🤣

Some good headlines in the NYT today.

It is a law of nature that a certain amount of people will be idiot.
Not saying that you shouldn't paying taxes to fund education btw 🙂 .
