@djvdq@mastodon.social I understand that feeling. But you need to be persistent, take small steps and don't just use private options just fir the sake of it, use them because they are better. Don't try to force everyone around you to change, but you can guide them for better options when they need it. Just a couple weeks ago a friend asked me for simple note taking app, since all on the Playstore have ads. I used that opportunity to teach him about F-droid and open source alternatives. I've convinced a couple friends to get a Synology NAS over the last year. Not because of privacy, but because they wanted a way to sync their files and pictures without having to pay for cloud storage. With enshittification and rising prices, people are getting tired of big tech. And everyday open source apps get better while paid options are getting worse. Do it for yourself and when they reach out for help guide them into better options.

I'm looking for an e-commerce platform, that is #opensource (if possible). From what I've found there are three main options:

• Woocommerce
• thirtybees
• prestashop

Is there any other #ecommerce platform I should checkout?

So basically if you have a site with a blog and a store that are closely related it may be better to have mysite.com/blog and mysite.com/store. Instead of blog.mysite.com and store.mysite.com

And just as I was going to post it on bgg, I noticed that there was a discussion about another app that was just shared. When I checked it, I noticed that during my planning of what was needed I never considered any other thing other than what was obvious with paper and pencil. But with an app you can do much more, which was really eye opening. #100daystoOffload Day 35: After several years using Manjaro, it's time to move on. Lately it's been buggy on several aplications, I don't know where it went wrong. I'm thinking about changing to Fedora, since now I have an AMD GPU, back in the day I had an nvidia one and remember that being a headache on fedora.

@tofu@lemmy.nocturnal.garden it feels more like a notetaking app, you can add attachments. But if you are looking for automatic linking, cross reference or recommended posts I don't think it has it. I use it mainly to document stuff on my small business so I can share the notes when needed.

@ami_angelwings@urusai.social several boardgames that are on my top, usually are very niche or at least not beginner friendly. But are the first that come to my mind when people ask for recommendations. With time I've learned to give better recommendations.

@w._eric_martins_board_game_beat just make sure your instance is going to be available on the long run, or it's your own. I've seen several instances disappear sometimes without warning
