@djlink@mastodon.gamedev.place @Igigog@mastodon.gamedev.place Looking at other peoples code/word assemblies is like looking at the night sky. The only emotion I feel there is curiosity and awe.
Looking at machine generated codes/words, I get either bored or confused.
Producing code/words myself is always bound to the emotion of total immersion, sacrificing my perception of time.
Now... replace code/words with art. Context still applies.

@0xabad1dea@infosec.exchange I believe you are just trying to establish a general baseline towards reliable communications.
Misunderstandings will always be there, regardless of educational level. Words are always a mere translation from and to the mind.
"... slow down, read it again... "
Not just for words perceived, but for those we compose, too. On top of that, when picking up an argument, check for ambiguities and try to resolve them.
You did all that in your toot. Can't see a shitstorm for that.

@ahltorp @hermannus @Eetschrijver @infobeautiful I said hard, not impossible. Leveling seats is mostly a partial workaround for direct voting, which still distorts the projection from the indirect ones. Every mechanism that forces voters to make a strategic vote instead of a reflective one, is missing the democratic thought. That, of course, is purely philosophical... so i hope you may forgive me for my unchained curiousity to doubt the establishment.

@floe@hci.social @ricci@discuss.systems It isn't about direct revenue in this case. It's about infiltration, spreading misinformation, washing out human participation, grinding every non-compliant human maintained service to exhaustion... and in regard to FOSS even expropriation.

@CiaraNi @jwcph True. Still, the impact of the actual lie carried significantly more weight to it than the image itself.
I first just saw the image and thought... "this looks way to perfect". Then I read the text and went to "unbelievable... what are the odds for such an event". Now I am like... "the written word seems to have more impact on my plausibility control than my imagery vision".

@benlockwood The irony is that it has been "urgent" for over half a century.
Since the beginnings of humankind, we constantly pretended to fight some ideological war for the future of our youngest generations... again and again.
Today we might realize, we just needed something "evil" to give our inner belief of being on the good side some contrast to feel better about ourselves.
If you're on top of the food chain, your only enemy is your own hubris.

Not fully "winner takes it all" but more like "big ones absorb the small ones".
I find it hard to find any true democratic voting system in that sense that it projects the people onto representatives proportionally and unaltered.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Got a client who is ceo of a private institute that measures economic benefits of eco systems. Lots of surveying and publishing for governance.
He told me about his ambitions to hop on the ai train. I asked why. He said he fears dropping behind, already loosing public order announcements to other institutes who do use ai to analyze and generate reports and scientific articles at much faster speed.
The executives meta dilemma. Hop on, share the fate. Don't, get left behind eventually.

@petergleick At their best, all politicians can do is to regulate economy and people with the tools of the underlying political system. But what if the biggest source of the problem is ungovernable by constitutions, dictators and even laws of nature?

@Verovitry @ariaflame @mxchara @geekysteven I came to the conclusion that the relation between power and dominance is not founded on gender. Cleopatra and Margret Thatcher fell into that pit, too. The reason for this false positive evaluation comes from correlation, not causation, as the male gender held power significantly more often since the beginnings of mammal evolution. Prejudice is built on correlation, not causation.
I found Taoism quite promising at first. It is all about balance.
