It’s #BandcampFriday and finally, the heatwave takes a break. But my head is still fried and I keep hearing imaginary air conditioning. Wishful thinking, I guess.
If you fancy to listen to something similar, I got some pretty decent approximations of that sound on my Bandcamp.
And it’s #free as in #nameyourprice!

Day 185
#365project
Late last ditch effort tonight for my 365. Just wasn't feeling particularly inspired today. I hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday. ✨

Heavy Load 🌔
Did you hear about the weirdo in Piazza San Domenico that was staring at a crane and pacing back and forth? Yeah, that was me an hour ago. 😂✨

Replying to
A later recording I thought was much better, but there is a tiny glitch in the recording. I feel quite good about it
I've also been thinking about completely different ways of playing it. On an electronic piano. Which is difficult giving it's a drone piece.
Or considering the tones pushing against each other, like the arms of a triangle..

I've been thinking about 'Composition 1960 #7' by La Monte Young.
I've been asked to submit a version, less than 15 minutes long.
I have listened to a few performances of it.
I thought a lot about it and generated a patch I liked, and recorded it. It's really difficult. The first time just far to busy. It didn't need so many modulations.

Ended the week and welcomed the weekend with Aura Legato by Af Ursin , released on La Scie Dorée in 2005.
"Originally released on La Scie Doree in 2005, in an edition of 350 copies, Aura Legato is one of van Luijk’s darker and more acutely psychedelic offerings. It’s a work of profound interiority, but one that also conjures images of old Europe and fin-de-siècle decadence – dabblings in Thelema, the fog of the opium-den – and has earned telling, if inadequate, comparisons to Third Ear Band, Nurse With Wound, Mirror and HNAS. Fully remastered by Noel Summerville, the album has never sounded better, and our vinyl edition replicates the original’s ornate presentation: sleeve die-cut in the style of a 78rpm record, with gold detailing and individually hand-glued labels...”Boomkat
