Another week of almost forgetting but injection number 149 is comple!
I injected 0.35mL of 20mg/mL estradiol valerate into my left leg. No pain, but somewhat more resistance than usual. A small amount of blood.

I knew it was coming, for months even. The burnout, the struggle with focus, the new manager I never seemed to vibe with. I was planning on quitting soon, but I guess they beat me to the punch. After more than 10 years I've been fired from my job.
Ultimately I think it'll be a good thing, I've wanted a change away from a company that funded drone strikes and ice, a company that built generative AI systems despite their obvious harms. Still it would've been nice to go out on my own terms.
But now, for the very first day in my life since childhood I am neither a full time student nor a full time employee.
I have some savings so it won't be an emergency for a while, but it's a strange sort of empty yawning dread I've not really felt before. Hopefully I can find a replacement before too long.
