@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange @grumpybozo@toad.social the intersection of age and gender is very real. i went from having unearned respect as a mid-thirties masc with short gray hair to a *lot* of sexism and ageism as a 40s femme with longer gray hair. 20-something fresh graduates will flat out ask why i am in the office until i mention to them my 20+ years of experience in websites serving nearly a billion uniques a month
