Here's a helpful one-liner:
`emerge -u $(eix --upgrade --only-names | fzf -m)`
(`fzf -m` enables multi selection with TAB over the picked item)

welp, it depends, I think we might be able to tweak it more by using awk (and whole colored eix --upgrade) and then we could have the full upgrade metadata and extract the pkg atom after selection(s)
eix will only list the version bumps, so yea, no USE changes here :( ...but that would be rather hard, no?

oh, it does give false positives - you see the gtkmm update there for example, right? - that is exactly what are you talking about, it has a SLOT that will get depcleaned if I would have updated it

was it long ago?
I never had issues - ONLY exceprion being after I updated pipewire once the mic stopped working unless I rebooted the OS

hm... for me using two CI systems was a bit too much. :(
Scaled down to self-hosted Jenkins. I only use gitlab-ci for publishing docs for certain packages.
On the other hand AFAIR sourcehut CI pipelines can be debugged interactively.
