All the work of the 20th century labor struggles in America, won by the sweat of Appalachians and often "ethnic whites" (Irish, Italians, etc.), goes down the drain of neo-colonialist economics (I'm not critiquing colonialism as an idea but the elites who benefit from the corporate extraction that occurred instead of for the nation's common wealth).
They've moved on from extracting resource wealth from the 3rd world (something that was beneficial to the home country) and now extract compliant labor instead to oversee the open air corporate work camp that America is becoming.
