Another rec for #BandcampFriday Matter and Form by a place both wonderful and strange. It’s weird in all the best ways and also has some great danceable tracks! The album was a long time in the making and they really hit it out of the park here. 🤘 https://remissionentertainment.bandcamp.com/album/matter-and-desire #electroindustrial #darkelectronic

Been intending and then putting off moving the laptop I use almost exclusively to stream from Win 10 to Linux. Today I am going to document and back up all my OBS settings. If I get ambitious I’ll move other data off. Posting so I do it. /1

@nivex@tenforward.social Neat! They need one more track set to complete the staff but yes I totally see it!

Next purchase: A synth-heavy groovy single from Amelia Arsenic. I love basically everything she does. It makes me move my butt. Or my head if my butt is in a chair. https://ameliaarsenic.bandcamp.com/track/rave-traitors-feat-tens-r-charles-scott-iv /2 #BandcampFriday #IndustrialMusic #IndustrialRock #electro

For something completely different than previous tracks, this is a very lovely cover collab between Eliza Rickman and @unwoman@mastodon.social. They harmonize beautifully and of course there is cello! /3 https://elizarickman.bandcamp.com/track/invisible-string #BandcampFriday #FediMusician #cello #AlternativeFolk #ChamberPop

Last of my #BandcampFriday purchases is a charity track benefitting tornado relief in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin. Featuring CHISEL, Butch Vig of Garbage , Freddy Johnston, Ryan Smith, & LOLO. They were going for Traveling Wilburys-style harmonies and I’d say they definitely hit the mark! /End https://rallyforthevalley.bandcamp.com/track/take-cover

HIDE kicking off their set tonight at the 7th St Entry with some excellent maniacal laughter. 🤘They are definitely a band that needs to be experienced in this exact type of setting.

Oh and I guess I wasn’t done with #BandcampFriday posts.. I bought this excellent new single from Holly Tatnall when it dropped a couple weeks ago. Love how this track takes you on a journey, starting with a cool twangy and sparse guitar and slowly builds to something much more full, electronic, and danceable. Holly has a strong collection of singles out and they all span genres. My favorites in her back catalog are One Thing Only, Too Late, and Break the Cycle. https://hollytatnall.bandcamp.com/track/run
