Requirements: Interest in Content and Language and Integrated Learning (#CLIL) Master's degree in an EFL-related field or applied linguistics, or any of the following fields: Economics, Business Management, Sociology, Law, or Area Studies Experience and/or interest in teaching English classes with a focus on social science content Experience teaching #EAP Minimum of 2 years of university teaching experience in Japan Minimum of 1 year teaching at university level using a learning management system such as Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom, or similar General terms: Retirement age of 70 Payment according to the Gakushuin University pay scale Three paid faculty development meetings per year

@actualham@social.coop I flat out refused to do the knowb4 training my current uni started last year and demonstrated to them why it was a security problem. Then I started getting laughably obvious phishing from knowb4. Sent the office a pdf of the message source for the last one and I think they gave up. (Background, our uni email delivers endless spoofed and phishing, has a 1998 webmail interface, no IMAP, no forwarding, no out of office messaging, does not comply with basic standards, and was hacked into a major spam factory a few years ago. No changes. Just blame it on the users.)

@twobiscuits @dragon Almost no street parking in Tokyo, none free, but plenty of paid lots/garages. To register a car you have to prove you have a place to park it off the street.

@adamgreenfield I bought a couple of Meshtastic LillyGo radios recently and have an extender relay arriving any day now. Not many nodes in Tokyo yet, but going to do my bit to make it happen. Once I'm comfortable with everything, I have a few people out in Okutama who may let me set up nodes out there. Hikers will use it!
