Okie Fedi, I'm gonna be a bitch. My partner's neurodivergence makes it basically impossible for her to like, make alt text. She is also an artist and enjoys photography, but the Fedi's "no alt no like, no alt no boost" stuffs makes her feel excluded and less. And that's before the harassment and the smarmy reply guys "actually" her. Aside from the blatantly abelist stuffs, one super common response is that she should use Alt4Me to participate. Okie cool. A way to get help! But does it work? No. No it does not. I did a quick search of the Alt4Me hashtag. Of the 17 uses I saw in the last 5 days on mastodon.social: 11 posts got no help 3 posts got help 2 posts were telling ppl to use the hashtag 1 post was complaining abt ppl not using provided alts. Tbh? That is kind of fked. Fedi u aren't inclusive if u make systems to help ppl and u don't do the work to actually help. It makes it easier to say "lol we tried" IG, but it still leaves ppl without help... and IG gives preachy bullies another took to use to harass the ppl the tools are built for. I wanted to get our website done this wknd, but lazy plus tired plus utterly frustrating tech stuffs kind of left me knowing a lot of what I don't want to do. Lol.

I would like:

• A CMS that

• Saves files in Markdown

• Is not corpo

• Uses like, HTML and CSS for pretty

• Can do multi users

• Is actually non-techie friendly

I can compromise on the first I guess.

I've tried:

• Mediawiki (so HARD)
• Kirby (ugh nothing works right)
• Grav (need degree to theme
• Automad (blocks broken)

Tech is supposed to make stuffs easier but tbh it just makes life hard.

#FediCoven Do no harm, but take no sh*t! How pacifistic is your magic? It isn't. I dont believe in hurting ppl for fun, and I respect ppl's decision to avoid harm, but... ...that's not me. I have a responsibility to fight evil. Hoping a vague "karma" will give bad ppl what they deserve is fine I guess, but sometime u need to be the karma. If someone is tyrannical, or abusive, or any other kind of horrible, I'm entirely fine w harming them if it protects the ppl they hurt.
