The second guess narrowed it down to 2 words (that I could think of). One of them had been used before.

Teacher, Programmer, Writer, Maker, etc.

I had a hard time coming up with a word that would fit after guess 3. I was surprised when my 4th guess worked.
But then, I am surprised and embarrassed by the creepy obsequiousness displayed in every televised cabinet meeting.

LOTR -- Galadriel: it took me three tries to spell her name correctly and 3 guesses to solve the Wordle. Where's Stephen Colbert when you need him?

There is something about this word that I find anachronistic and almost as disgusting as the concept of building a huge ballroom that I'll never see, much less dance in, using the money stolen from poor people by profiteering big businesses and depleting the treasury so that we will end up paying for its construction, maintenance and upkeep.
My only solace is the news that Pope Leo works the Wordle every morning and discusses it with his older brother.

Ha! I can remember watching the 1941 cartoon in the mid-to-late 50's. That was the first time I heard a "cat whistle." I always believed that's where the term originated. 🤣🤣🤣

#WritersCoffeeClub 20260310: How informal is your prose? Is there a limit to informality?
I am not a person of great courage, though I sometimes aspire to the courage I recognize in others. None of my stories have ever been burned in a school furnace (that I know of; the regime is young). I write formally, except in dialog where I try to write with an ear to what the people around me sound like or what I imagine their character and circumstances demand.
Is there a limit? For me, the answer is “yes.” I think that the self-censorship inherent in that admission is a failure on my part. I am reminded of the letter, written by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. to the superintendent of a school system that burned all the copies they could find of his book “Slaughterhouse Five.” Vonnegut’s comments about “coarse language” are worth a moment to consider. I saw the letter presented as a video which I have linked below.

Reminds me of Samuel Clemens. . .born in 1835 and died in 1910.
"The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.'" He died the day after perigee.

It's not in the "Word List" that is published somewhere on the web.
Another great song from Jesse Welles:
I love this line:
"I've never been an astronaut
but I swear to god I've been to space"
