Have you ever bought an e-book while visiting (in person) a physical bookstore?

I'm mostly thinking of Bookshop and indie bookstores, but you could also buy a Nook edition of a book while visiting B&N, for example.

What non-Amazon source do you prefer for books, especially e-books? As I look at moving my pen-name works out of Kindle Unlimited, I'm interested in knowing where to focus my efforts. (I'll use Draft2Digital to reach some, but I prefer direct.) Kobo is not listed intentionally - just as I intentionally removed my books from Kobo. Long story. My writer friends are probably tired of hearing it, lol. Boosts appreciated and replies welcome. #reading #ebooks #competition

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space I feel like this is true for both Google and Apple, and it doesn't make sense to me. They're the major players in the smartphone & tablet space with Android and iOS(?). They have a mostly-captive audience and could leverage that to compete hard against the Kindle platform... but they don't. My personal experience is on the Google/Android side, so I'm not sure how much Apple might be dropping the ball, but Google sure seems to be leaving money on the table by not competing.
