Steve Streza

Heartbreaking day to know people who worked at Twitter.

Maybe just recency bias but every "Twitter did some dumb shit and now there's an influx into Mastodon" wave seems to have paled in comparison to how active it is this time around.

Three mortgage pre-approvals, two realtor meetings, and access to the MLS firehose. Operation Buy A House has begun. 🎉

Not many movies bring me sheer joy when watching them like Knives Out.

📢 MOVING INSTANCES 📢

I am moving to @stevestreza@indieweb.social! 🎉 A huge thank you to mastodon.social for hosting me over the years. My old toots shall remain here indefinitely barring some reason to make them inactive.

The migration *should* make this transition seamless but I would deeply appreciate checking to see if you follow @stevestreza@indieweb.social in a few hours/days. Thank you all very much for the follows 😊

Feeling my bones turn to dust as I utter the phrase "mortgage pre-approval applications"

House listing photos are either gorgeously framed, well lit, and heavily photoshopped, OR they are shot with a disposable camera from 1994 with horrible lighting and weird angles. There is no in between.

On top of making a terribly designed and implemented product, I am completely non-surprised to learn that their fraud prevention is dogshit as well. I've been banned 6 times in the last two weeks, and every time support says "nothing is wrong, it was in error, your account is reactivated in 2 hours", and then I wait until the next day (since they make a FOOD PRODUCT so waiting two hours is a non-option) to reorder... and then I get banned again. Clown operation.

Nobody asked, but here's my agency #Vtuber tier list. Omission means I haven't seen them enough, or they weren't in the tier list maker.

Trying to install ERPNext for a local business in Docker has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had to handle.

You run one Docker image to generate a docker-compose file with 10 containers in it, then you use a different Docker image to create a tenant, but that doesn't work and you get some generic Python errors, only to google and find maybe you need to install an app into the tenant, which fails and you get generic Python errors...

@pynkbites@queer.af It's really telling that there have been so many alternatives to *specifically* Twitter. Like people have been lamenting the incompetence of that company through several changes in leadership now.
